Glenaladale Estate
257 Blooming Point Road (Route 218), Tracadie Cross, PE C0A 1T0
Settled in 1772 by Scottish laird, Captain John MacDonald, this 530 acre property on Tracadie Bay is an ecological and architectural gem. Discover the Sculpture Forest, Trails and Disc Golf Course atop the estate, or the 140 year old Georgian mansion, Glenaladale House, at its center. Home to two ‘Persons of National Historical Significance’ (Capt John and grandson Sir William C Macdonald), Glenaladale has been a People’s Estate since 2018 when it was purchased from the MacKinnons, known for their silver fox farm and rum-running exploits. New in 2024 – learn about PEI’s Scottish diaspora, the largest outside Scotland, at our Scottish Cultural Centre, and take in 2000 feet of shoreline, including an archaeological dig, along improved Estate walkways.
