Glenaladale Estate

257 Blooming Point Road (Route 218), Tracadie Cross, PE  C0A 1T0

An ecological and architectural gem, Glenaladale includes an 1884 three-storey brick home, an 1899 schoolhouse, and 530 acres of mixed woods and farmland, with 2000 ft on Tracadie Bay. An archaeological dig, Sculpture Forest showcasing Island artists, trails and a disc golf course are recent additions. The Estate was home to former Scottish Laird Capt. John MacDonald. He and his grandson Sir William C. MacDonald are both recognized as persons of National Historic Significance. It was later owned by the MacKinnons — known for their fox farm and rum-running exploits. Discover the many stories of Glenaladale: “A National Treasure on a Small Island.”
