Province House National Historic Site

The birthplace of confederation and the seat of Prince Edward Island's provincial legislature since 1847, Province House National Historic Site stands as a landmark in Charlottetown. Be welcomed by friendly and knowledgeable Parks Canada staff and learn about the history of the building and the current Legislative Assembly through guided tours, displays, and a film about the Charlottetown Conference that led to the creation of Canada.
