2188 Church Road, Route 243 off Route 6, South Rustico PE

The Farmers' Bank of Rustico, a National Historic Site, operated from 1864 to 1894, is credited with being "the precursor of the Credit Union movement in North America". Come see our new exhibition that focuses on the establishment of the Farmers' Bank and the work of its Founder, Father Georges-Antoine Belcourt. The Doucet House, an early Acadian log house, circa 1772 offers a look at the daily lives of an Acadian family. Check the website for information on daily interpretation programs & special events.
